Iv felt pretty pressured to go towards and i7 would and i5 be alot better will it bottle neck a 40 series card... should i downgrade to a 30's series card to save some money

if it's only for gaming then i would consider buying a i5 13600kf instead and use that money to buy a rtx 4060 16gb instead. would save you some money and it will probobly handle most games at 1440p with no problems. (and this is my personal prefrance i would buy a slightly bigger case like an atx mini, it will make it a lot easier)

You want the locked version of that cpu for a ITX build.

The thermalright PA120 is so good that it doesn't really matter right now

Shop around a bit. In Victoria these websites normally are a bit cheaper than mwave. I'm not affiliated.

cpl online

centrecom

CPL savings in australian dollars

  • cpu $6
  • motherboard $10
  • 4060 $20
  • same price: case, ram, ssd, cooler
  • power supply not sold at cpl, substitue?

the 4070 super is much better than a 4060 ti and it's not even that much more than a 4060 ti 16gb

why?

Because SFF factor builds limit you on cooling and the locked version of that cpu runs cooler while using less juice. Personally I would never limit myself by going with a SFF build ... especially when your primary use is gaming. It's the equivalent of purchasing a Volkswagen Bug in order to race Formula One.
