computer crashes after 2 minutes of playing carxdrift/ dirt rally the monitor goes black and you can hear the game play in the background. after 3-5 minutes the computer reboots and starts up like nothing happened with no error codes at all. i performed a clean boot already and installed the game launcher and games again. then validated the game files. still didn't work. checked and upgrades any drivers if needed. i can game mw3 with no issues at all. i have ran the stress tests on 3dmark without any issues or overheating. computer is water cooled already checked for leaks none. sytem temp stays around 40-45 c peaking at 50 but no higher.

What's in Windows Event Viewer? There should be some event in there indicating what was done to cause the restart. If nothing else, a Kernel-Power event

it shows kernel-power 41(63)

Okay, so that's the very generic "Hey your PC lost power suddenly ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ lol idk sowwie" error from Windows.

This may be a difficult one to pair down. I would start with the easy and free options first. DDU GPU drivers and reinstall fresh - ensure BIOS and other drivers are updated, etc.

well yes and no. it just means the fault is so severe it couldn't write any other error logs... it indicates a few things however:  mainly ram/compatibility issues. which is likely what's happening here.

try running ram at default speed, no xmp... no other overclocking / undervolting of any kind, make sure drivers and bios are up to date and then see if the issue persists.

ps: psu is also a suspect, has been known to cause issues,  specifically with EVGA 3080's...

but tbf, the crash should happen much faster then and not take several minutes,  just something to keep in mind.

I'm not sure why you would say that. Yes, RAM could cause this but you would get that error if you unplugged the PC from the wall. It could be caused from everything from the PSU to the motherboard.

... experience... what op describes is almost always ram compatibility issue.  and there are several errors that can accompany those and this is one of them simply.
