I'm currently resetting the old drive. Just in case....

Yes, use another ssd or hdd, and try another sata port and cable

I'm rebuilding a rig for a client's son, refurbishing and resetting. I put a brand new ssd in that I literally cut the package for today. Yet the moment I'm in the windows install screen, it said "A copy of windows already exists. Please remove installation media and boot into windows."

IT'S A CLEAN DRIVE!!! What is going on?!?!?!?

Edit: Before you ask. Yes, I popped the old m.2 in and it booted up faster than my braincells

I swapped to yet another new ssd and that fixed it.
I'm suspecting that the ssd was faulty. I don't understand how, but it was. Yall better check yer warranties still apply. Cuz I sure as hell will.
Thanks for suggesting a new ssd.
