PSU/Gpu mobo problem?

Much of the same circuitry is being used with the CPU as well as the graphics card. If the power supply was damaged, I would expect some weirdness on the CPU side if anything was damaged.

With that being said, I would look inside the power supply anyway for any kind of damage, and if you're comfortable with it...taking apart the graphics card to see if anything is damaged beyond what can be seen with it assembled.

Thanks for the reply and the help. God bless 🤘

Hello Guys. Recently my computer fell pretty badly on the ground from my table. I was fixing my monitor cable and I hit my pc with my elbow and down it went. So at first everything was going Okay but after a few hours my computer would just freeze while playing games and restart. Sometimes weird blue green tears would appear on the screen and then again restart.  The restart only happens when I am playing games and not while I am on my desktop. Today I had this problem in which after loading a game, my game would go on auto alt tab. This is happening since 2 weeks and is driving me crazy. I have tried everything on the internet and nothing seems to solve it. Please help me. It would be really appreciated.  I think its not the psu because then the computer would not boot up at all. Maybe the mobo or GPU. Here is the video of the problem which I had today.

I am afraid that if i go buy another GPU, the mobo or psu might kill it aswell. What to do

Have you checked by re-seated all the cables and the GPU?  It may have just come loose, or it may have damaged the PCIe slot.

I cant take it to a local shop because over here they are clueless.

Did you inspect the system to make sure nothing is obviously damaged after the fall? That's where I would start.

Thanks for the reply.

Aside from a scratch on the casing nothing is damaged and loose. I dont know how to check  the pcie slot if damaged.

Pull out the graphics card and look. Check the card itself for damage. Make sure everything is properly seated.

So you made 100% sure the GPU is fully in the PCIe slot?  Its easy for it to come out slightly and would explain the issue as it warms up under use.  Also it doesn't hurt to completely remove it and put it back in, check its not cracked on the PCB near the PCIe latch and you'd likely see if the PCIe slot is damaged while doing this.

Just a scratch on the casing aside from that nothing is loose. Dont know how to check the Pcie slot for damage but it seems fine aswell

100% in the PCIe  slot. And I just checked its not damaged. Removed and put it back like 5 times already before this 😛

Do you have another PC to test the graphics card in?

No Sir.

I personally think the graphics card is damaged. The artifacting seems to be coming from the graphics card itself - even if nothing is visibly damaged, the components could've experienced shock, causing internal damage to the actual chips themselves.

What are your components within the build?

I think so too but I am afraid that if i buy a new gpu it would be killed too. What do you think about the PSU?  I have ryzen 5 5600x, 24 gb 3200 mhz ram, 3060, 500 gb ssd, 1 tb hdd, a520m mobo and 650 watts Psu

And this issue only started happening after the PC fell to the floor? What specific 3060 do you have?

If you put the whole system under a full load...Prime95 and Unigine Superposition...does the system shut down? Start off with Prime95 first, let it go for a few minutes, and then open Superposition with Prime95 running at the same time to see how the system reacts.

Hello My pc didnt restart with prime 95. I kept it going for 15 mins however,  when I tried unigine superposition performance test my pc froze on the 3rd scene and then got restarted. I couldnt do the stress test on superposition because it needs a subscription.

Yup, I think your graphics card is the culprit.
