Fansetup help!

Go to solution Solved by leclod,

5 fans intake and 1 exhaust ?

usually it is recommanded to have slightly positive pressure. More like 3 intake and 2 exhaust.

But I don't see how to achieve this either.

I'd rather try with the 3 top fans as exhaust (I see the issue).

Then you could try the other way and keep the best performing solution...

Fan Control is a great app to control fans in windows. It lets you do anything you want.

I have a fractal north air case with a glass panel.

I have 3 lian LI uni V2 sl120 fans in the top (intake)

1 in the back(exhaust)

and 2 140 mm fans in the front for intake (they came with the case)

I'm also using a noctua Nh-u9s for my cpu.

is that a good fansetup or should I change some things around? (I really want it to look good)

General rule of thumb is front & bottom intake, rear & top exhaust.

Eliminate the top 3 fans entirely. They are not needed for any CPU well cooled by an NH-D9S.

If you want to use the Lian Li fans remove the 2x140 front stock fans and put 3x120 Lian Li fans on the front as intake.

If you really want to keep the Lian Li fans in the top, make them exhaust. In this case you will want to play around with the motherboard fan utility so that the exhaust does not create a negative interior pressure.
