hello all

my pc is not the best. money is limited so i build what i thought is decent for me. it runs fine but then i realised xmp was off. after i bought 2 more sticks of ram i though i would try it and it runs fine but randomly freezes and restarts itself.

Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-9600KF CPU @ 3.70GHz   3.70 GHz

mpg z390 gaming plus motherboard

rtx 3090 ventus 2x 12gb oc

4x viper gaming 8gb 3600 mhz (32gb total )

msi 850watt 80plus gold  ( A850GF ) is the model

so yeah i am not too sure what it is that is wrong. it runs fine but if i enable xmp then it randomly freezes and restarts itself. i did a full memory diagnostic and had no errors. i have updated the bios  so not sure what to do next.

currently i am only running the ram at 2880 mhz. or something like that. ( with xmp disabled )

any advice or help would be great 🙂

3600 may be the problem, as my 9900K runs 4x8 3200 without issue easily.

Can you try 2 sticks with XMP?  May have to manually set them to 3200 or try for 3600.

You can just YT or Google your setup and RAM, many guides out there.
