I understand that these are CPU cards and you can install a CPU, RAM, and hard disk/SSD to this but I'd like to ask:

 

  • What purpose do these serve?
  • Can these overclock?
  • What type of connector is at the bottom?
  • How do these work?

That looks like a PCI bracket... I'm not sure about the connector, but my guess would be that it's for a server or a workstation. Maybe you plug it into a special PCIe slot and it just works.

I like the color scheme of Noctua fans. Deal with it. Forget about the bad memories of the past.

Someone posted these awhile ago, though they're still cool (that thread had alot of info on it).

 

These are for servers that connect to a special motherboard (I cannot for the life of me remember the name of it) that has all of the rest of the components on them.

They cannot be overclocked (they're for Xeons).

I can't remember what these are called, sadly.
