How would I go about doing the Uninstall exactly.

I can't even download Geforce Experience anyways, it just fails, but gives me no errors. I think it might be my Harddrive it's a 7-year old drive.

Just a normal uninstall usng the Control Panel>Programs and Features. Remove everything that says Nvidia. Remember to go into safe mode after that or Windows will automatically search for a new graphics driver on the next reboot. Try to download the new driver to a pendrive if you have any

Hey everybody.

Four Days ago, I finally built my first gaming Computer; from the console.

Anyways, I was playing games on my new Nvidia GTX-770 SC and it was great.

I was running games like Borderlands: 2 on max settings around 85 FPS; it was very stunning.

But, anyway when I tried installing a updated Graphics Driver it went all down hill from there.

In Device Manager it went from my Display Adapter from being a GTX-770 to nothing.

Now, when I go into Device Manager it says I have 3 unknown Devices:

An Unknown Portable Device, Unknown Device (Assuming that's my GPU), and finally something listed as MEDIA.

Anyways, I went and installed a program called Driver Sweeper and uninstalled everything Nvidia Related assuming that the multiple drivers where creating some type of Registry error of some sort.

It asked me to reboot, so I did.

I rebooted my system and went back into device manager still listed as an unknown device.

So I was like, "Okay" I popped in my CD-Installation that was provided with my Video card and clicked 'Install Video Drivers'

It went into the process of saving the contents under my hard drive at: :C/Nvidia/DisplayDrivers/Win8_Winvisa_Win7_64/International.

So when that was done it checked if my system was compatible which it was.

It then, asked me to 'Agree & Download' I then proceeded to do so.

It then began the installation and then failed at the Graphics Driver.

The program asked me to close the installation program and nothing has been working since.

But, for some reason when I go into Device Manager and try to update the drivers to my Unknown Device it gives me an error listed as 'Code 28 (Access Denied).

Anyways so my question is, why did this happen all of the sudden I do have a pretty crappy hard drive at the moment only having like 4 GB left.

Is it because of that?

I don't think anything is faulty because everything was running just flawlessly until I tried installing an updated graphics driver.

Try uninstalling the driver first. Then reboot and get into safe mode. Use Drivesweeper and then reboot again. Install the latest non beta driver. Avoid the Geforce Experience first. Just install the graphics driver. See how it goes.

I go into my Programs and Features and nothing at all is listed as Nvidia. I'm assuming it's my hard drive since it only has 2Gb left and is a 7 year old drive.

My new one should be here tomorrow, but thankyou for the advice I will update you then.

Hey took that advice you gave everything installed smoothly. But, how would I go about updating my drivers now without it doing this again?

I'm glad it went well. Just download the drivers from Nvidia's website and install it like normal. You can use the GeForce Experience to update the driver if you want, but i personally like to do the installation separately. Plus I have old gpu that can't make full use of Geforce Experience.
