I got a 2060 super for Christmas installed it in my pc and my power supply went pop. the fuze popped but didn’t break the outer shell. I ordered a GameMax 850W Rampage PSU, Semi-Modular, APFC, Japanese Tk Main Capacitor, 80 Plus Bronze, 88% Efficiency. I did rough estimates of my power usage and got between 347 and 467 is this going to be enough and I have been told that bronze rated psus are not good but that is off an American running 120v through his mains. Thanks for the help

Return the gamemax

They are all junk. Like literallt all of them quite literally lie to you what thry can do and usuall blow up around half powrr draw after a bit.

Whats your budget?

In a psu QUALITY matters and gamemax is literally amongst the furthest away of that.

Gamemax is known to lie and also uses every buzzword imaginable. Japense capacitors hasnt mattered since like 2005/6. Also a dead giveaway is price. Compared to GOOD alternatives in the bracket its priced way too low because it is lacking most protections, using a VERY old design and just some crap rebrand of some cheap garbage as always.

Anyways let us know the rest of your specs and budget.

That way we can advice you a good psu that wont kill your system. Since one psu already went (which one was it?) there may already be damage.

I have a personal vendetta against gamepower (same company) because they made my job WAY fuckin harder when I was studrnt jobbing because the shop doen the road had a deal with em and of course when they would eventually fsil wed get em in our shop and it was always a mess 😄
