I apologize if this is the incorrect place to ask this, but I've been trying to figure out how to adjust my default page settings in Excel 2010 when opening a new workbook. I haven't been able to find a solid answer anywhere, so I thought I'd ask my fine OCN brethren.

My issue: new workbooks in Excel 2010 open up set to Landscape and Legal. I'd like to have this back to the defaults of Portrait and Letter.

Please only comment if you know how to do this first hand.

Much thanks to anyone who lends a hand!

Like always with Microsoft, having easy option would be too easy. Here's guide http://superuser.com/questions/315662/how-do-i-change-the-default-paper-size-to-a4-in-excel-2010-and-other-office-201 . For Word its easier and I first tried looking at that kind of option but there's none.

Took a look at the thread LogicalDrm, and the suggestion is to load up XLSTART with a default workbook, so it opens up every time you open Excel. This works, HOWEVER if I go and open any of my previously worked on Excel files, it will in addition open the default workbook, resulting in two workbooks opening instead of one. A bit frustrating.

Yeah, well. I don't really work in Excel so formatting would really be an issue. For me its more about scanning through 10k of cells and making them .csv compatible. Hope you find some solution to that problem.

Btw, quote or tag me next time. I read these only once per day.
