I was posting a lot about how my Windows install takes longer and longer to boot the more data I fill my SSD with. But I don't know what happened, I just opened my laptop today and it only too 3 circles to boot, which was faster than before. What could have happened? I checked using BootPerformanceView, my driver initialization time went down, Smss Init time, Critical services init time, User profile processing time, System PNP init time, Session init time, Session init other time, Winlogon start time, all saw a nice decrease. What could have caused this? My laptop was actually in sleep the whole night before me opening it, but I have all updates and maintenance tasks disabled for automatic startup. Speaking of maintenance, should I run some automatic maintenance? This is an option which not a lot of people talk about but I can definitely see that there is a lot of stuff happening when I run it but exactly don't know what it actually does. But I don't remember if it fixed my boot time previously.

So, is this just some weird Windows complexity where this time I just got lucky (but I did reboot 2 times) or did something happen?

PLEASE MARK COMMENTS AS SOLUTION IF SATISFIED!!

bigger number better, makes me look cooler.
