Recovery Software for quick formated Drive

Go to solution Solved by Kilrah,

You can try Photorec from the TestDisk package.

So basically, I quick formatted an external HDD by accident, and I am trying to recover the data (mainly pictures) from it. I used a tool called Drive Drill, and it found around 450000 files, but I didn't notice that you can only recover 500 MB of data with the free tier and the PRO tier costs 70 bucks, so I switched to recuva, but it was only able to recover around 105000 files, and now I don't know if recuva missed a lot or if Drive Drill found some that weren't there.

So if anyone can help me or suggest a better program, I am very grateful.
Thank you in advance.

Thank you for your quick response; it worked and found 700000 files. (That's probably all)
