I have recently received and installed a nzxt n7 b550 motherboard in my previously functioning computer. The old board had internet issues but that doesn't matter. After installing the board and farming simulator, I loaded up the game, and then my fans started reving shutting off all of my usb devices. My mouse was randomly shutting off before playing but I thought that was normal. Any thoughts?

I have an 850 watt psu for the 5700g and 6700xt that I have. I was under the impression that was enough to support those and the aio, fan controller, etc. that I had added with the old board. Also could you elaborate on the car having air problems comparison?

sounds like it's enough..  could be board dying tho.. or psu dying.

means it's very vague..  like what air is the problem... the air it drives through or the air it sucks into the engine to ignite with the fuel.. .. or the air in it's tires...

well those are my thoughts... not saying it's the answer..

I see what you mean now. The internet chip on the board was slowly dying. You could tell over the last week of its life it was slowly giving out and getting slower. Thank you for the help. I would assume its the board because everything worked fine before the board was installed (except the internet of course). Would you say the same?

are you talking about the network controller chip? ..  sound more like a virus.. did you ever try to reinstall windows?

usually controllers are either dead or not...

That is a good question. I did suspect I had a virus at one point due to some unknown files filling my ssd but I cleared that drive with a windows reinstall. After that the internet on it just got slower and slower till I couldn’t even pull up the modhub on farming simulator.

Hi. I ran a clean boot just now, no non windows drivers activated, and the problem still persists. I plan to check the power supply soon, but I need a multimeter first. Does it sound like a power supply issue?

  1. Do you have RGB stuff?
  2. Have you plugged in something to an incorrect motherboard header?
  3. Have you double-checked to make sure all the cables are completely connected?
  4. Did you install all of the motherboard standoffs and put the appropriate screws in them?

There is approximately a 117% chance I edited my post.

I have no rgb, all of the cables are in their correct spots, all of the cords are plugged in as far as possible, but the three screws all on the right side of the board are not screwed in. The screwdriver I have cannot fit into the plastic guards which are not removable when in the case, and the guards needed removed to even get the screws into the correct holes. Could that be the problem?
