I cannot try them myself.

My brother has an MX blue keyboard.

I play FPS games (TF2 mainly).

I really want a US layout keyboard because my german sucks and i dislike the UK layout.

Here are my main options in each category (the main 4):

MX RED: http://www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos/ASIN/b00fb4bxga/geizhals07-21/ref=nosim?m=A3P5ROKL5A1OLE

156 euros (including shipping)

158 euros (including shipping)

145 euros (including shipping) <-- this one is a little worse in terms of features

135 euros (including shipping)

I wouldn't buy or recommend any of those. Roccat are ok but the design and build of those keyboards is not the best

What is it about the UK layout that you don't like? I am just curious

However I personally like browns as they seem well suited to both gaming AND typing, although they compromise, they are less tactile than blues as they do not click and not as linear as reds/blacks etc , easy to bottom out but responsive to type on

From all the reviews i have read, roccat are very good.

I am used to the US layout so the UK layout seems very difficult to get used to and my binds for TF2 would have to change which would be very annoying.

If you do a lot of gaming red's are good but brown's are also good.

The browns are a bit more clicky

Cool. Looks like browns are the way to go.

Could you vote them then.

Ill vote browns but not for that keyboard. I just think they  are good for stuff other than gaming, I find blues too noise and clicky and hard to double tap sometimes but amazing for typing. And for the linear switches, I would just save £100 and get a membrane personally, find linear mechanical switches rather MEH

I have used Roccat mice before, also their customer service guy sent me a new wireless adapter for my mouse 2 years out of warranty, for free from Germany. I just do not like their keyboards, sorry :)

UK and UK are very similar, only thing that changes are a few symbols (mostly notably the @ key)

Well then link me to the amazon website you got it from. (not amazon.com, the shipping would be too expensive).

Amazon.com, and yes, the shipping was expensive but they don't sell the MX Blue version in my country.

I paid €132 for it including shipping and in my country they sell the MX Red version for €129 without shipping, lol

So i paid €3 extra after all.

Those small changes irritate me. My brother has a qpad mk 80 and i just cannot game with that (typing is ok though).

I'd rather not get that one then.

There you go. I own this keyboard myself and so far it has been my favorite keyboard both for typing and for playing games (mostly CS:GO and Dota 2) at home.

http://www.amazon.co.uk/Logitech-G710-Mechanical-Gaming-Keyboard/dp/B00CM1TTGG/ref=sr_1_1?s=computers&ie=UTF8&qid=1400578605&sr=1-1&keywords=logitech+g710%2B

I also have another great brown switch keyboard, Ducky Shine 3, which I usually bring to my office, but it might be a bit more expensive and I still prefer the G710+, so in your situation I would recommend the G710+. However I am not sure whether it has the UK layout or US layout. I got mine from a local store in AU, and it has the US layout.

I was considering that one, but to me it looks like it has a UK layout. I'll do more research though. Thanks for the suggestion :)

EDIT: I did some research and i found out it is in the UK layout. The US layout is sadly not available in Europe (except for poland but i will not buy from there).

Looks like i am stuck with some options.

I will make a new topic about the keyboards available to me.

Thanks for your help :)
