Hi all,

I am looking to build my first PC. I basically want to build a creative PC that will give me flexibility to run any programs without having long rendering times/seconds per iteration and will last for the next 5-10 years. I have never had a powerful PC before so I would rather invest money upfront into a build, rather than going for more budget friendly option and end up spending more later.

I have been looking at some of the following items:

- CPU: Ryzen 9 7950X Processor

- Motherboard: ASUS Proart x670e

- GPU: ASUS Proart RTX4080 16gb

I would rather make a minimalistic build over a RGB build.

Any suggestions or things to avoid would be appreciated.

Cheers

GPU

In that case the 7950X is likely overkill. It would be better to put more resources into the GPU which will help reduce render times.

Consider an i7-14700K on a motherboard like the MSI Pro Z790-A. In the new year Intel is expected to drop locked 14th gen CPU. You might then consider an i7-14700 an a B760 motherboard like the Asus ProArt B760 or MSI PRO B760-P WiFi.

If you were buying now I'd suggest something like the following despite it being a bit over budget.
