So i have a fx4130, specifically, and i've recently started overclocking it. for about a month, i got it from 3.6 GHz to 4.5 Ghz pretty quick.

i recently was not able to overclock over stock frequency in the bios and each time i tried ended up in an indefinite black screen after the bios was saved

CPU:fx4130 @ 1.5v 21.5x and 210FSB (4.5GHz setup nothing else changed)

Board: asus m5a78lmlx plus

RAM:kingston hyperx blu 1600

GFX: radeon 7770

psu:ark 600w

first off my PC is working fine, but only at stock OC.

I'm gonna say all the things that recently happened/changed to my PC even if they seem irrelevant:

a couple days ago, i tried to OC my monitor to 70Hz while on eyefinity(lol bad idea) with CRU. didn't work out so i fixed it and now i'm just running extended monitor and no eyefinity

i have not used amd overdrive. it is activated, but i have not used it at all.

after that, i bought a sp120 for my seidon120v(less loud) and installed that. might have missed the 4pin connector and hit the mobo like right under the vrms, on the pcb.(not very hard)

Then i started to do a prime95 test @4.5GHz settings (which had been stable for like 5 days while i was playing  games) but then it crashed and went back to the  motherboard boot screen.

so i went through the bios, checking stuff and noticed that my dram settings were off. like from 999 24 to 666 15. i had never changed them, always on auto.

i booted it up twice and it crashed both times. the dram was off on the first one but not the second.

i went back and tried prime95 again and it still crashed but this time when i saved my settings, the bios would turn black and the screen would say "no output".

i pressed reset and loaded the default settings which worked.

My Fixes:

taking out ram, cmos battery, and power cable. = nope

cleaning out ccc/amd driver and then re installing= worked and stress tested with intel burn test but then i turned the pc off and it reset to default

My question is, that, what have i done wrong?  I want to know how to fix it or what i've done to my PC.

*also the turbo key works for some reason and it goes up to 3.8GHz.

Thanks

The board is your problem. 3+1 power phase is not enough to provide any more than 95W.
