Hello, i recently bought all the components for a new pc, but it wont power on.

Do i need to update the bios before any signs of life will show. Currently only the "smart"  and "clear CMOS" buttons light up.

MB is : MSI MPG X670E CARBON WIFI

Processor is: 7800x3d

I have tried to boot it with/without graphics card

Reseated ram and tried them individually

checked all the wires making sure they are properly connected.

attempted to bridge the power on switch in case the case was the issue.

Yes, I would update the BIOS, while it is risky as long as you follow the steps exactly, everything should be fine.

Have you tried turning it off and on again? Maybe Restart it?
