Ram requirements

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Keeping many applications open in background (discord, opera gx with 10+tabs, generally many apps open) as well as running vr games at the same time

How much ram would I need for what I want to do? Will 16gb ram be enough for smooth operation and max fps or is 32gb needed?

I will get either silicon power Gaming 2x16 or 2x8. they are both 10ns first word and 16 CAS latency at 3200mhz.

I'd opt for the 2x16GB kit.

I'd get 32GB. If you closed everything in the background when playing games, you might be able to get by with 16GB, but given how close in price 2x8GB and 2x16GB kits are, just go for the higher capacity kit.
