So i have a question say i spend 80% of budget on a gpu for a gaming pc right say a 7900 xtx
and i pair that with a i3 13100f cpu how bad if any would that bottleneck considering its a new gen cpu that still pulls 4.5 ghz turbo w 4 core 8 threads
ive heard some people say cpu bottlneck is kind of obsolete with never cpus so i was wondering what people think

do you know what a bottleneck is? becuase you need a use case for a bottleneck to be determined. you don't determine a bottleneck by just having the computer sit idle on the desktop.

well whoever said that didn't know anything about what a bottleneck is or really what a computer is then.

Check this video out, should explain all you need to know:

IMO you could use the i3 as a placeholder and save up for something better,  like a 7600x for example. You'll need a new motherboard and ram as well. If you have 16gb or more ram, you could go the intel route and save on ram, but you'll still need a new motherboard. I would get 32gb of ddr5 ram and go with AM5 (AMD).
