Low gpu usage high cpu isage

Hi my gpu usage in games like Fortnite on low everything is at 20-30%
cpu usage is 50-60% I have a rtx3070 ventus and a 5800x I optimized pc and updated bios and xmp all that and in other games like cod my frames are so low

if youre setting the games to low then it makes sense the gpu usage is low. give the gpu something to do

My frames are really inconsistent like 120-240 I see videos on YouTube people with the same build as mine and reaching 240 cap

why are you using youtube channels as a benchmark , thats not how benchmarking works

Oh look the daily fortnite low fps post.....let me guess running it at minimum settings at 480p wondering why you can't get 700fps or something?

Case Fans : Arctic p12's everywhere i can fit them in , 7 In total.

Monitor : LG 27GP850-B.BEK 1440p Nano IPS 180Hz

Keyboard : HyperX Alloy Core RGB

Mouse : Corsair M65 Elite RGB

Headset : Corsair HS35 Gaming Headset

Try this as I ran into the same problem 2 days ago,
 

  • Go to task manager and see if all of your cores are enabled in the "Performance > Cores" section since your 5800x has 8 it should be listed as 8.
  • In the same performance tab in task manager you will find the "Logical processors" it should be listed as 16, in simple terms these are the threads
  • If any of the numbers are less go to search > system configuration > Boot > Advance Boot > and un-tick the the window named "Number of processors"
  • Give your PC  a restart and it should be all good.
