RF interference?

Hello! I work in an area where it requires us to have radios and sit at computers. Every time I hold down the transmit button and get too close to the case, the computer shuts down. It then requires me to switch it off by the PSU and reboot it. This made me wonder, is this harming my computer? And if so, will it affect performance and what could I be damaging? Any help with what is causing this would be great!
