gpu issue(i think)

hi everyone, recently i built a new pc with the configuration

processor - ryzen 5 5500

mb - msi b450m-a pro max ll

ram - g skill ripjaws V 3600mhz 16 gb (2 x 8)

gpu - asrock challenger rx 7800 xt 16 gb

psu - msi mpg a850g 850watt atx3.0 pcie 5.0 compatible

windows 10 - most recent updated

storage - samsung 970 pro 512gb

monitor - aopen 1080P 24" 144hz freesync monitor

 

every game i run has some problem running, i ran prototype 2 which gets locked to 24fps when i set resolution to 1080p or 720p but gets to 60 fps in any other resolution

witcher 3 just wont launch keeps on crashing

 

using amd adrenaline 23.12.1 driver, sometime it says i dont have the correct driver installed so i need to reinstall it again using DDU

 

when i use my laptop which has rtx 3060 and intel 10500h it runs smoothly,

 

is this my driver issue or some other problem

So you've already done a proper DDU and this is still happening? Still sounds like a software/driver issues to me. If it happens with DDU and/or a fresh install of windows then maybe something is wrong with the card itself.

Any way to findout if its the card ? Witcher works perfectly after i ddu installed the drivers,but the prototype 2 is still the same, is it related with any freesync problem ?

Prototype 2 is quite an old game and has had these issues at random since launch due to games for windows live drm.

 

Quite literally a pirated copy works fine
