Hello all,

Story time,

I am running the above mentioned mobo with a R5 5600 and I had 16gb of Klevv DDR4 3200 RAM.  I recently purchased 16gb of DDR4 of Hyper x fury RAM with speeds of 3733 Mhz.  I figured it'll just run the 3200 MHZ like the klevv sticks since my mobo only supports 3200 MHV.  I installed, went to the Bios and enabled XMP and when I check windows it tells me all 4 sticks are running at 3733.  Anybody able to tell me how this is possible.

Thanks in advance!

Motherboard support are just validated numbers. DDR4-3733 wasn't a thing when X370 originally came out, and motherboard manufacturers don't really bother validating new hardware after the next generation comes out. DOCP is loading the values presented to it by the SPD on the DIMMs.

IMO, I would be suspect of that running perfectly. I would run a lot of Memtest86 to ensure it's proper stable. Also check your InfinityFabric clock to ensure it's still 1:1 (anything else and you introduce some performance penalty).
