Enabled XMP, Performance slows dramatically

Hello!

I tried enabling XMP on my pre-built from ABS yesterday, I had read about it and wanted to experiment. After enabling Profile1 for XMP in BIOS and increasing the voltage to the RAM, I booted up and everything across the board was twice as slow. Nothing was happening or loading in faster than a minute. I walked the XMP changes back and powered down, after starting back up the problems are almost completely gone but it still runs a tiny bit slower. Is this just a case where I can't enable XMP and I'm stuck at the basic DRAM speed of 2133 mHz?

Win 10 22H2

Gigabyte Z490 UD AC

Intel I7 - 10700K

G.Skill DDR4-3200 16 GB (8x2)

750 W PSU

CPU-Z screenshots of the memory tabs before and after enabling XMP, respectively, attached. If any other info is needed please let me know.

Thanks!

For some enabling XMP can give a nice performance boost, if it is the ram speed that is bottlenecking.

For others there will be little to no gains at all.

And for some it'll introduce instability, weird behaviour, maybe even damage to the ram if really unlucky.
