Help with new ssd

I bought an ssd but upon putting it in , I’m unable to use it. The drive appears in device Manager but doesn’t appear in disk management. I’ve tried messing with my bios I’ve tried using third party software, I’ve tried updating the drives nothing seems to work. 
my pc is a asus rog b450f2 motherboard 

ryzen 5900x 

4070ti
