Cheap complete Audiophile sets?

Looking to get great pair of headphones with all the equipment thats required to power them. For all styles of music, especially prog rock. I know what an amp does but DACs? 32ohm over 16ohm WHAT COULD IT MEAN? I just want something fairly priced and sounds amazing...

Thanks randos xox

90% of headphones are fine with an Apple USB-C dongle DAC and DAC swapping to get the "most" or "best possible sound" are placebo.

Ohms in headphones is largely irrelevant, you do see people claim that "more ohms means harder to drive" but this is largely untrue, there already is a measurement that far more reliably tells you how easy or difficult a headphone/ IEM is to drive, Sensitivity, measured in db/mw.

As for something fairly priced and sounds good you'll need to give an approximate location and a budget, Sennheiser HD600, possibly the safest audiophile headphone recommendation out there vary massively in price depending on location. The budget bracket they used to be the best in is rarely applicable in some parts of the world (Australia, Asia and East Europe in particular)

Ohm is impedance

how robust a cable is before it maxes out…

Digital to Analogue conversion (do you remember an aerial was required for tv?)
