Increase powerline speed?

I bought powerline cabaple of 500mbit/s but im only getting around 150. Is this normal or is there something I can do to increase that ???

What model/brand of powerline equipment is it? It may be running at full speed, if your house is older than it might not be able to negotiate a faster speed due to noise and interference.

Ethernet over power is reliant on good quality wiring in your house for optimum speeds. If your house wiring is getting old, that could be your problem. Not sure if there is anything you can really do about it (obviously other than replacing wiring).

I doubt there's anything you can do. It very likely negotiated the speed as fast as it could given the interference and noise.

What is the speed of your router? (Lan speed) If your router can only do 10/100 mpbs, than buying a 500 mbps adapter isn't going to change because one of them is plugged into the router. If you have something like a gigabit router, than I don't know what to tell you.
