Is Va really that bad for eSports gaming? does it have a lot of ghosting ?

Currently thinking to buy this monitor for eSports gaming:

VA is real bad. It looks pretty enough for Video content, but anything else would be a big no for me.

 

Of course, it could depend on the quality of the panel itself. But why get a subpar experience when you can simply get an IPS monitor instead?

It's hard to explain, though it can be somewhat visible on video.
This was the VA panel I had bought a while ago. Notice the blacks smearing around, but the pale/whites not so much on the avatars?

 

This issue is not present on my new IPS monitor.

 

You can also check out this GIF on this reddit post, I had the same issue as well when scrolling down on a page. It was disgusting and nauseating.

VA can be good, but you have to spend $800+ to get one. Below that, you want IPS. For your price bracket, you want something like a Gigabyte M27Q or the new MSI G274QPF-QD.

Basically all VA is bad.

 

The only good VA is Samsung Odyssey Neo G7, Neo G8 and Neo G9 which using latest gen VA in mini LED, and don’t have black smearing issue but still bad viewing angle. It ain’t cheap and that cost can get you a very decent OLED monitor.
 

The rest VA monitor don’t bother about it.
