Second hand Rx 460 crashes above 60°C temp

damian61

As title says, just got a used rx 460 to sell an older pc with it, but the card crashes during test.

PC specs

ASrock H110m-DGS 3.0

2x4gb Hyperx ddr4 2133

intel i5 6400

120gb SSD

FSP Hyper M 600W

I contacted the seller, that I think the card is bended, but he rejected my claim. He said it looks alright...

anything what I can try or do to make it work?

well a slight bend is not uncommon on some cards I have had, though it could be causing a less than hairline fracture in a bit of solder somewhere, however i would have thought as the card warms up then this would not occur..

I would certainly remove heatsink and clean the old paste and give it a good clean in general and repaste see what happens

It did not help, the problem remained the same --> crashed during test

Try downclocking it ? Just downclock it a little then see if it works? If anything you could "reflash" the bios and see if that could possibly work

NEVER GIVE UP. NEVER STOP LEARNING. DONT LET THE PAST HURT YOU. YOU CAN DOOOOO IT
