You can do it officially and legally for free. Check if your laptop has 'downgrade rights'

1) Call Microsft and ask them if they can activate a downgrade for you
2) a) If you have Windows 8 Pro, you must have a Windows 7 Pro CD with which you can use the new key
B) Ask MS which version of Windows 7 can you use if its the Standard Windows 8 on the laptop
3) If you don't have a Windows 7 CD, ask MS where can you download it from. I remember some company called 'Digital River' used to handle the OEM distribution through which you could download a Windows 7 iso file, but would need a working key inorder to use it.
4) Burn and install, and enjoy Windows 7! Hope this helps you :)

Edit: I found a link. I have not verified it yet but it appears to be genuine OEM versions of Windows, and yes, you will still need to ask MS about a downgrade key to use it. Cheers! :D
