I bought two ssd for a new pc and is it true that I should only install one SSD to install windows on and then install the second one. I’m vertically mounting the GPU so I will need to take that out to install the second SSD because it is covering the slot. Should I just install both to be easier or remove the GPU after windows is installed to get to the slot? Will removing the GPU cause problems?

The reason it is recommended to install only one drive is two-fold:

1. It guarantees that you install Windows on the drive you intended, and that you don't pick the wrong drive.

2. Windows sucks at installing itself, and will sometimes put the boot partition on the wrong drive. So if you have two drives installed, it might install itself on one drive, and put the boot partition on the other, meaning you now need both of those drives installed in the system for it to properly boot, as Windows has split itself across two drives.

So you don't have to do this, but it's recommended for those reasons.

Installing 1 for the Windows install is recommended because the Windows installer has a glitch where for whatever reason it has a tendency to put the boot partition on the wrong drive. As long as you plan on never removing the drives from the system though, it's fine to have them both installed as the system will work, it's just that if you have the option to only have one installed when you install Windows, you should do that.

Other than being annoying, no.

If your CPU have an integrated GPU, just use iGPU until you finish installing Windows.

Then turn off PC, install 2nd SSD & GPU, and so on.
