Microphone Levels Keep Changing Randomly

so I'm talking in Discord w/ my friend then he says that my mic is suddenly quiet so I went to check the microphone level and it was at like 60 I changed it back to 100 and the same thing happened again and again
how do I stop it from changing
I already tried disabling exclusive mode in properties of the mic didn't work
and in sound > communications i set it to do nothing still didn't help

my mic is the one in SteelSeries arctis 7
and sonar us in un the engine don't know if it matters tho
