I've been out of the PC upgrade game since the 970gtx bar a gaming laptop.

And it seems noone seems to compare gcards from different manufacturers anymore.

I have available to choose from the MSI Gaming Trio Classic, Gigabyte gaming OC, Asrock Phantom and powercolor hellhound at similar pricing more or less.

My concerns aren't really FPS performance differences but wattage power draw as I don't want to have to upgrade my PSU if I don't have to. I've seen some cards draw 50w higher or more than reference. Temperature control, fan noise and coil whine.

Any advice is appreciated.

The best card seems to be the Sapphire Nitro+ acording to reviewq (best thermals and OC potential)

It's $50-$100 more than the more mid tier cards tho

You can limit the power and clocks in Adrenalin, but the card is 350W at stock (up to 430W on OC), you need a decent PSU anyway
