Upgrade Advice OLED & IPS

Currently have an LG C2 for over a year now and I've been very impressed with it so far for console gaming. I'm looking to upgrade my PC monitor from 1440p 165Hz but not sure whether to just get another IPS but in 4K or go OLED 2K? I've been looking at the 27" LG 27GR93U, LG 27GR95QE and ASUS ROG Swift PG27AQDM but not sure what to do?

In my oppinion 1440p is enough for 27" so I would go for OLED but that's just my personal preference.
I think it comes down to what you value more: smooth text and textures or brighter, more vivid colours and deeper blacks.
To me not having backlight bleeding and a brighter picture is more important to the overall picture quality than having more pixels.

I agree and it's a tough choice to make. I've been spoilt by the OLED and would like to extend the experience to my PC.

I wouldn’t go 2k.

go for a good 1440p monitor. (2.5k if you must use k)

Probably going to get the PG27AQDM as reviews seem positive.

Have you tried Mini-LED screens? Could also be a good mix between both options. Brighter than regular IPS panels and deeper blacks if you have enough dimming zones. Blooming could be an issue though.

No I’ve never looked into these, any recommendations?

Nothing specific, I haven't used them before either. Also depends somewhat on your region because not every model is available world wide. I just know that in theory they are usually better than regular LCD panels.
I would recommend that if you found a monitor within your price range look for a review on rtings.com or on YouTube to see how much blooming the lighter parts of the screen produce. Rtings is a great site in general for monitor reviews.

MiniLED has some advantages, like even higher peak brightness, no risk of burn-in and cheaper prices than OLED. But there are also some disadvantages like blooming and higher input lag. It has it's tradeoffs like every other monitor technology.

A reference for a good MiniLED VA monitor is the Samsung Odyssey Neo G7 or if you prefer a flat IPS monitor the Cooler Master Tempest GP27U.

If someone did not use reason to reach their conclusion in the first place, you cannot use reason to convince them otherwise.

I've been referring back and forth with a few different websites for reviews, etc.

I'll have a browse around at these now. I think 1440p would be the ideal resolution.
