I'm not well versed in the Australian market, but you can save some AUD by buying a cheaper headset/keyboard/case and upgrading the CPU.

Now you can go for a better one in the 5000 series, but keep in mind that it's now considered "last-gen" compared to the 7000 series and it may hinder the futureproof-ness of this system.

@Catzzye Thank you, I will apply your advise to the build.

No problem, if you want to stick with the lastgen and AMD, check the prices of 5800x3d.

If you're gonna head with the 7000 series, you'd have to change the motherboard to the new one and could further upgrade the RAM.

You got this!

Thank you, I think I will try that route as my client would like it "future-proof" and would provide a upgrade path compared to socket AM4.

Haha yes.. From my experience, everyone wants to "future-proof" if presented the option, but not everyone is ready to pay the (thankfully now smaller then ever) premium of the current generation. RAM and motherboard prices use to especially crazy, but now they're in a much better state.

Let us know if you have any further gripes!
