Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc): 

No budget really I just want to upgrade from a 3080 to something else that’s AMD gpu that’s better and I have Intel i5 13th 13600k cpu 32 GB of ram that’s Corsair RGB two Samsung 980 pros ssds and 850 watts

Id love to get specific model to know the quality, but yeah I would absolutely love to know your budget still, and also your resolution and performance target (specific games mentioned is heavily appreciated. Itll be hard to "bottleneck" a nearly latest gen CPU.

specific model to what and lets say the budget is 1000 and i mainly play minecraft fortnite and cod rn

Why do you want to upgrade from a 3080? It's already pretty beefy for minecraft and fortnite. Wait for next gen.

To be honest if that's all the reasoning then +1 on @Blue4130. Sure, 1000$ will get you 7900XTX, but its not going to provide you with a completely different experience. You'll see some bit of performance gain (which id nod on if that's all, cant fault you especially if you play at 1440p or 4K it could be noticeable on how far up you can go on details thanks to the extra VRAM) but the experience is going to be the same until you get to the specifics that Nvidia and AMD like to flex like their own TSR algorithm (DLSS and FSR in this case), the media encoder, and other niche like frame interpolation (Fluid Motion Frames) on AMD or tensor powered noise suppression system (RTX Voice) on Nvidia.

it doesnt have to be the 7900xtx im just wanting somethings thats the same to a 3080 or better i wanna switch to amd gpus

Again, if thats all your reasoning is, hold your wallet for the release of 8900XTX instead. Your 3080 is fine as is.

I agree with this, if you just want to switch for the heck of it, wait for the next gen. Doing a side grade is a silly waste of cash.
