Grinding noise on startup, hp probook 640, with broken screen.
What did you do to that poor thing?
Seems the HDD is dead too.
On old Dell systems there's a button on the keyboard to switch the BIOS to the external screen... doesn't look like there is one here. However, if you unplug the internal display (which isn't doing much good as-is) there's a good chance it will switch over to the HDMI/DP output for the BIOS.
