So, I'd just like a final checkover/recommendations for my build!

The mobo/CPU is not in this build because I'd like to get a 4790K + a Z97 motherboard.

Alright, thanks! :3 The pump is strong enough, right? Also, do you recommend any anti-corrosives, or is that not necessary?

yes the pump is defiantly powerful enough, youll be able to add alot more to the loops with it. and no you have a silver coil, that will do just fine, just make sure you flush the loop first.

As Loccilucas states above the pump is fine, d5's are generally the go to pump for watercooling. Anti-corrosives are generally only needed when you have mixed metals in your loop like copper and aluminium (fortunately most blocks these days arent aluminum). A silver kill coil is fine otherwise as just need the anti-microbial properties of the silver. Looks like a good setup, have fun with the build, always my favourite part.

@Elements

welcome to the Linus Tech Tips forums!

ya got a pretty good handle on things. just a couple of maybe you otta items:

since the fans are located above the radiator, you have monster room

for a roof radiator in thickness. the ST30 is a good rad, but the XT45

or UT60 would be better appliances to use and still keep fans at a low

speed for quiet operation.

for ease, i'd also re-consider the lower 240 and use the UT60 240 to

keep some congruence in the build.

Alright; the main reason I chose the SR1 is it has slight performance gain over the ut60 at sub 800 RPM, and I am trying to get a silent case so yeah xD

The case on has 70 mm of clearance for roof radiators in the case, and I'd rather not mount fans outside the case, so I chose the ST30 :3

Also, I'm planning on having the rads in pull as exhausts and 4 of the included fans on the front/back as intakes; would this provide sufficient cooling for the non water-cooled components?

Thanks,

Elements

@Elements

the fans on the roof are under the roof panel, so that provides you almost unlimited

roof radiator support. some have even gone as far as using a Monsta 480 i the roof.

floor, rear i/o, and front intake, roof exhaust.

Alright; phantek's site states that "Up to 70mm thick radiator with push/pull configuration" can be used; does this mean I have 70+25=95 mm of space if I only use top fans in pull configuration, or just 70 mm?

Also, are those the spots I should put the fans in? I do have one extra fan included with the case; any recommendations for placement of that?

Thanks for your help!

@Elements

since you're 480 roofed, 240 floored 2x 140 intake.

if your "enclosing " the case, i/o exhaust. if case is in open air, go i/o intake.

not a fan of the cross-breeze to side-panel. removes leverage to 480 in the roof.

Alright; thank you so much for your help!
