Budget (including currency): Going to spend around £550 now plus another £350 in a month or two. Currently have an rx 580 8GB I will use and then plan on getting the rx 6700xt later.

Country:  UK

Games, programs, or workloads that it will be used for: Primarily for gaming and browsing, I want to be able to play modern games on at least medium to high.

Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc):

Hi people, I've researched this CPU + GPU combo and the performance for the price seems great to me, just want some opinions from people who know much better than me on if this is a good build. Any input is much appreciated 🙂

Yup! That actually does look like a solid list, nicely researched!
I would personaly go with the RM750e from Corsair for the same price.
It only comes with a 7 year warranty compared to the Seasonics 10 but you will still have a quality 750w PSU that leaves a bit more room for upgrades later.
If you want to buy a 5800X3D and a higher wattage GPU.

And as I say, if a PSU lasts 7 years it will last another 4^^ If something were to go wrong it would have happened sooner.

I like the build overall, one thing that jumps out to me is the PSU, at 550W you dont leave much head room.

As far as games go what resolution are you playing on?

Technology is like a good friend that does its best to piss you off at every turn. yet we love them anyway.

looks good, but there is a slight issue with upgrading in the future, for your cpu/gpu combo at minimum i would recommend a 750w psu for future proofing, the rx 6700xt draws 300w! your cpu draw 65, like sure... it would work, but if your going to upgrade in the future its probably best to up the wattage on your psu! other than that the case is quite pricey but thats a personal choice. other than that it looks pretty good!

i would not change anything else

that is definitely enough power at 1080p for high in almost everything, 1440p i would say medium with textures at ultra but real time shadows on low but stay away from games like cyberpunk 2077 and other ray traced titles!

Oh and welcome to the Forum! 😄 If you need any other help you know where to write.
This is actually goint to be quite a nice gaming machine. The 5600x and 6700XT pairs very nicely together.
I would recommend waiting until Black Friday / CyberMonday to see if you can snag an ever better deal on some of the items.

Thanks a lot for the info, I will definitely up the PSU to 750w.

In response to what res I will play at, right now I'm on 1080p monitors but eventually plan on 1440p, I'm not really bothered about playing games at the absolute max settings, I just want to be able to play modern games and have them look good.

That build combo should do fine with what you want to play at 1080p.

Sounds good bud! This will definitely be good enough for 1080p 🙂  It might struggle in some heavy titles at 1440p but should still be an enjoyable experience.
With a 750w you will have some room for a faster GPU later down the line, the 5600x is quite a decent GPU and can still be paired with some faster GPUs.
