Questions about iPhone battery upgrade

thekingofmonks

I'm looking to revive an iPhone 7 Plus I ditched a while ago due to spicy pillow. I figured it would be nice to replace it with a more capable battery as well.

I am however confused by the choices out there and need to know which are scams (saw a 5800 mAh 馃槓) or bad products (as some don't seem to last long), so please tell me:

  • What would realistically be the highest capacity that has the same volume as the stock 2900 mAh option?
  • Since Li-Po is denser than Li-ion, is it truly a better option?
  • Which brands are the most reliable for lifespan and safety?

I聽am of course well aware that it would take more time to charge than the stock battery, though that is a non-issue IMO.

Higher density simply translates to more Wh for the same volume. So in terms of battery life it would be better. However, Google tells me Li-Ion has better density than Li-Po (https://robocraze.com/blogs/post/lithium-ion-vs-lithium-polymer-battery)
