Hi all,

I've not really been following the latest spec news on GPU's for the last couple of years so I need some advice.

I currently run a Radeon HD 6950 (yes, that old). The rest of the system is more modern (see below), but the GPU really needs an upgrade.

My main workload consists of photography work (Photoshop and Lightroom) and some gaming: Battlefield 1 & 5, Battlefront II, ...

Max FPS in game is not my priority. The Adobe stuff needs to runs smoothly since I do paid gigs as well, so time is money.

Current specs are as follows:

  •  NZXT H510i case
  • Ryzen 5 3600 CPU
  • 2x Corsair Vengeance LPX CMK16GX4M2B3200C16W (32GB RAM in total)
  • ASRock B550M Pro4 Motherboard
  • Corsair RM750 power supply
  • Samsung LC27JG50QQU monitor (1440p)

Since the system is based around an AMD chip and the monitor is Freesync capable, I was leaning towards AMD , but all recommendations are welcome.

Budget is €600/$600 approximately.

Thanks in advance for the help.

How about a 6950XT? Hehehe

That said you can get a 7800XT, or 7900XT and upgrade CPU next year or just move to AM5 next

For gaming something like 6700xt would be perfect, but since you use adobe software i'm not sure if amd cards will work perfectly fine with it, just look up all the software you use, and if it works fine with amd then get the 6700xt, and if not i think 4060 would be a good choice, since better gpus will bottleneck the cpu.
