Hello all,

i decided to upgrade my system, but i can't get it to post.

Specs:

Mainboard: Asus Prime B760M-K

CPU: Intel Core I5-13600KF

RAM: Corsair Vengeance DDR5 5200 2x 16GB

PSU: Gigabyte G750H

GPU: Asus Rog Strix Vega 64 (Also tried with older GTX950)

CPU Cooler: Noctuah NH-D15S

Case: Be Quiet Pure Base 500

I bought the mainboard, CPU and RAM brand new. The GPU was part of my previous build and was confirmed working.

Behavior:

Upon pressing the power button, the system starts, CPU and Case Fans are running, GPU LEDs are lit up and fans are running, PSU fan also running

For the first 1-2 seconds, the power button stays lit, as i am used to it from my previous build in this case. Then it starts flashing about 4x/s, after 15s of doing so the flashing slows down to once per second. After a while the system just restarts and the cycle begins again. For the whole time there is no Display output.

Troubleshooting I've done so far:

- Checked compatibility and checked PSU calculator on pc-builds.com wich gave me the following results:

CPU(167,53 W)

GPU(395,36 W)

Mainboard (46,91 W)

2x SSDs (SATA)(8,04 W)

RAM (16,08 W)

3x Fans (16,08 W)

= 650W total

- Triple checked every cable connection, as well as CPU, GPU and RAM mounting.

- Tried 2 different hdmi cables, 2 different DP cables

- Tried booting with only one RAM Stick, swapped the slots

- Tried starting with older Geforce GTX 950

- Cleared CMOS

- Started without GPU which leads to the same Power Button LED behavior

- Followed every step i could in the README: How to respond to a no POST or no power up situation

Unfortunately there are no other LEDs on the mainboard which could help me troubleshoot, and it also does not support USB BIOS FlashBack.

I also read through a lot of articles on the Asus website, but nothing really seemed to apply or help.

Any ideas/suggestions?

Thanks in Advance!

Let's assume that all your components are good for the time being.

This strange behavior may look like a fault in the wire or the power button. It strangely looks like your computer powers up and then falls into a sleeps state and then resets. All actions that can be initiated by pressing the power button (or the reset if present).

My best guest is to unplug all unnecessary cables like the front panel wires and USB and try booting the computer by shorting the two power pins (double check and be cautious to short the right pins). Note that your processor needs a GPU because it is an F version.

Hope that helps.
