Nothing more to do to install your new chip, you may use the opportunity to maybe update your AMD chipset drivers

About the board update why do you want to do that ? I mean a 5600 will work fine on your old board, even a 5800X3D will,  and a better board won't give you much except some more USB or connectivity...Only reason would be to upgrade to say a 5950X but I don't think you plan to do that,  so you'd better save for a better upgrade  to AM5  for example

AMD R9  7950X3D CPU/ Asus ROG STRIX X670E-E board/ 2x32GB G-Skill Trident Z Neo 6000CL30 RAM ASUS TUF Gaming AMD Radeon RX 7900 XTX OC Edition GPU/ Phanteks P600S case /  Arctic Liquid Freezer III 360 ARGB cooler/  2TB WD SN850 NVme + 2TB Crucial T500  NVme  + 4TB Toshiba X300 HDD / Corsair RM850x PSU/ Alienware AW3420DW 34" 120Hz 3440x1440p monitor / ASUS ROG AZOTH keyboard/ Logitech G PRO X Superlight mouse / Audeze Maxwell headphones

The better thing to save the money for could be the psu and gpu probably (if the use of the pc is gaming)

Nah my board is kinda old it only supports PCIE 3.0 and no offense to gigabyte owners including me, I prefer MSI, their prices, vrm, heatsink and features are good
