So, Battlefield 4. I've had it since December and it has never worked right for me, except for playing single player a long time ago. First I was getting absolutely terrible performance in multiplayer (No matter what settings. Worked fine in single player.) and it just never worked well.

Today I though I might give it another try. I tried to load up the test range and BF4 opened as normal but at the end of loading it crashed. Now it won't open at all. I don't get why EA decided to release such an unfinished game and then focus all their time on making stupid DLCs. Seriously. Call of Duty 1 United Offensive still remains my favorite FPS game. (It actually looks pretty good and on lower settings it can run on a toaster.)

/Rant

EDIT: So BF4 is still open. Even though I force closed it and it seemed to go away.

I haven't experienced any problem with running the game other than some bugs and glitches.

You can contact customer support with that. I have experienced their chat support many times already. Some were great chat sessions and some weren't. The indian ones are the not so good customer support agents based on my experience.

Lol, Battlefield 4 is so inconsistent with performances.. Definitely wouldn't use it as your "go-to" game if you're stressed or just want to relieve yourself, could be frustrating.

Yeah the cpu usage is lower then BF3 now. The Vram no longer passes 2GB. it actually exceptionally calmly topped at 2007MB with 1080p ultra max AA.

I think the game uses SMAA ( I know it doesnt use FXAA anymore) The rendering flickers much more now. thats one thing BF3 had well done.

"Gamers are such reactionist" What does that even mean? It's not even a full sentence.. Also, what is the "Battlefield revolution"?

Maybe you shouldn't be talking like that if you don't even have the cognitive abilities to write correctly.

Reactionists in political terms are people who want to go backwards.

Battlefield revolution is reffering to as the progress of the battlefield franchise wich may appear as a ''revolution'' they cant handle to them.

You're saying all older games suck? Completely untrue. CoD 1 has my favorite FPS multiplayer mode by far. And in my opinion, much more fun. (It's not just about graphics, y'know.)

I really wanted to play BF4, but I heard all of the bad reviews and issues with the game, and I also didn't want to pay $50.  I ended up getting it for $26, on Kinguin.us (It works and is legit, have bought many games from this website.)  It looks like it went up in price though.  At $26 I figured that it is not too much of a risk so I went ahead and bought it.  At first the game was fantastic, everything was working beautiful and I couldn't believe so many people were badmouthing it.  As I became more accustomed to the game and how it plays, the problems became more glaring.

1)  The game crashes, it can happen often or it wont happen for days.  I can't pinpoint anything I do that causes the crash, the game just flat out crashes on me regardless of the scenario.  I could be in an intense firefight, or I could be in a loading screen.

2)  The net code/net lag, and this is something you might not notice at first, but once you become aware of the problem, it is probably the most glaring flaw in the game.  Here is net code/net lag explained in a gif.  This is absolutely infuriating and sometimes I just have to stop playing because this makes me rage.  This makes the game feel incredibly broken.

R8u9cr5.gif

3)  Not all materials are created equal.  When I say materials, I mean "walls" in the game.  Some walls you can shoot through on one side only, but on the other side, you cannot shoot through.  For instance, stairs that have a railing.  You can plainly see the person on the other side of the railing, but when you shoot at the railing, the bullet ricochet and are not registered.  There are other examples of this, but this is one of the most glaring.

4)  When you die, anything you did before death doesn't count.  Say you throw a grenade and it lands at the enemy's feet.  He kills you.  And thats it.. your grenade doesn't go off because you are dead, even though you clearly got the grenade off and you saw it visually land at his feet before death.  Same problem with grenade launchers, if you shoot a grenade, it is traveling in air but you die before the grenade reaches its target, no damage will be done.

The game is a lot of fun, it is incredibly tactical, and the progression system for weapons makes you want to play.  Even though all of these glaring problems persist, I still play the game because it is fun, but at times I do have to turn it off because the problems really start to get to me.  I haven't purchased any premium or any DLCs, there is plenty of content in the normal version, and it will give you an idea of if you like the game enough to invest in extra content.  At the game's current state, it feels incomplete.  If I had to give the game a score, I could only give it a 6.5 out of 10.

Here are my system specs:

i5-4670k @ 4.7Ghz

EVGA GTX 780 SC w/ ACX cooler @ 1100Mhz

I played a shit ton of BF3. BF4 I barely play, not because of the issues people are having but because I have to run the game on low due to my graphics card.

You dont even know how to force close. If it doesnt work it means your system is dangerously failing.

By force close I mean I clicked close on the not-responding window that popped up and it seemed to go away even though it was still running in task manager.
