Thank you again, I’m not interested in the PSU being white I’m interested in the white cables. The build you suggested looks great, I’ll see if I can get most the parts from this shop near me if not then I’ll order them online

if you want to get that white rm850 then go for it. It's a good psu and white cables do look good

of course, no problem

Need a little help building new pc, old one broke and was about 10 years old so gonna be a big upgrade. Picked out some parts that should be compatible. If my pick of parts bad suggestions for other parts would be much appreciated.

Nice pick, but since you're using AM4 platform (Mobo B550 and Ryzen 5700X), I would suggest you to purchase DDR4 RAM instead of current DDR5 on your cart

Since this DDR5 RAM is compatible to the latest AM5 platform only

P.S.

If you still have a budget, upgrade your CPU of choice from 5700X to 5800X3D is not a bad choice, since it is the best AM4 CPU on the market (X3D will noticeably improve the low 0,1% FPS performance)

My System: Ryzen 7800X3D // Gigabyte B650 AORUS ELITE AX // 32GB 6000MHz DDR5 Silicon Power Zenith CL30 // Sapphire Pulse AMD Radeon RX 7900 XT OC with mod heatsink on the metal plate  // Phanteks P300A  // Gigabyte Aorus GEN4 7300 PCIE 4.0 NVME // Kingston NV2 Gen4 PCIE 4.0 NVME //

Seasonic Focus GX-850 Fully Modular // Thermalright Frost Spirit 140 Black V3 // Phanteks M25 140mm // Display: Bezel 32MD845 V2 QHD // Keychron K8 Pro (Mod: Gateron black box ink; Tape mode on PCB and Keycaps) // Razer Cobra Wired Mouse // Audio Technica M50X Headphone // Sennheiser HD 650 // Genius SP-HF180 USB Speaker //

And Laptop Acer Nitro 5 AN515-45 for mobility

Phone:

iPhone 11 (with battery replaced instead of buying new phone for long term and not submitting (fully) to Apple Lord

I can suggest you to choose a DC-to-DC PSU, my PC is reborn since when I put one in it.

They are more efficient, less noisy, less prone to power spikes (when the power suddenly goes down and up to be clear).

I have an ITek BD 700, semi-modular with support to 4+4 CPU power line and a LOT of cables for everything.

My rig:

Case: Chieftec CI-01B-OP "The Cube"

Motherboard: Gigabyte B450M DS3H Rev.1

CPU: Ryzen 9 5900X

Cooler: ThermalRight Assassin King 120 SE with TF-4 Thermal paste

GPU: NVidia RTX 2070 Super Blower Style (HP OEM)

RAM: Corsair Vengeance LPX 3200 2x16

PSU: Itek BD700 DC-to-DC

I suggest you take a dual tower cooler cpu air cooler as the 5700x runs hot and plus you can future proof it aswell. You can take the ThermalRight Pearless Assasin SE120 or just the 120, both are good and the price is also better. Also the ram you chose is DDR5 and it is not compatible with the motherboard as DDR5 is only supported by the new AM5 platform and not the AM4. If you can spend couple extra bucks you can take the ryzen 7 5800x3D as @Imago mentions it here. If you still want the pc to be able to use DDR5 then you may need to spend more by getting a B650 motherboard which are quite expensive (atleast in my region) and you can prob go for the ryzen 5 7600x with the B650 motherboard. But again your choice

Ok I’ve made a slight change taking in some of your suggestions

PSU is already dc-dc, changed the ram to ddr4 and the cpu cooler to a duel fan. Can’t change cpu to 5800x3d as much as I’d love to

 Thanks for your suggestion filpo
