What are the main differences beside 520s being newer?

looks like the 520 has some performance gains and a better warranty, etc.

Is that really it?... Is it justifiable to get a 335 240gb for 200 over a 520 180gb for 195?

No real reason, frankly if you're not doing a lot of writes all the time I'd just get a Samsung 840 series. Awesome little drives. Should save you a bit more too.

You don't believe Intel drives are better than Samsung? I own two 840 Pros and I still think I'd go with an Intel drive for my build because of its reliability. What do you guys think?

Samsung is to my knowledge the only brand of SSD where the manufacturer actually creates all aspects of the drive. I think even intel is outsourcing now.

Samsung does their own flash, their own controller, casing, whole 9 yards. I'm a firm believer in them.

This is true, but they do not do as much stress testing as Intel. This is why Intel is #1 for reliability. Have you seen Linus's video about Intel's campus? He goes over Intel's process of testing their SSDs. Just wondering if you agree with this. I know Samsung makes their drive all by themselves, but I'm getting this SSD for maximum reliability for a business PC. Regards

If you're worried about reliability, you should start looking at more than advertising to base your decision on. IMO, unless you're doing a metric f-ton of writes, it's just as likely brand A will fail before brand B as the opposite just due too luck.

Pick the drive with the longest warranty and if it fails within that you'll get an RMA which will also last you a long time. Simple.
