Changing Ram

I have realized that my current ram capacity 8gb 2666 x 2 is not enough for my daily usage and so I bought 2 16gb 3200mh.... so my question are

 

Is it better to just install both 16gb and leave the two 8gb ram out.

Or 

Just adding the 16gb ram to the existing 8gb ram.

 

Not a freaking problem anymore !!!!!

Turn out my fricking mobo has 2 faulty ram slot and i cant install all 4 of them

Also noted that both of the ram , 8gb and 16gb are 2 different brand.... no idea if thats going to affect anything.

Do you need more than 32GB of RAM? If yes, then try to run both kits. If no, then stick to just the 2x16GB kit as the faster speed will help more than any dual rank benefits you might get.

Sell or use your 2x8 in another machine. It's still very good for other tasks, like servers.
