Hello everyone! After having a lot of issues with my gaming laptop (which I rarely use now), I got a job and decided to build a PC for 1000€.

As such, I'm looking for help specing the beauty up. I asked my friends for some help, since they've built their PCs, but I want more opinions on the matter.

I want to be able to run modern games, doesn't have to be on ultra, between medium and high is good for me. No peripherals needed either, but if you can tell me a good monitor for, max, 100€, i'd appreciate as well. (keep in mind the pc is 1k, not too much more but no less, the monitor is not on the budget).

If this topic is in the wrong forum, I apologize in advance

there is a thread called "new builds and planning" you can post more there. I will give you a general idea of what you should get, because the prices are different everywhere. At this budget i recommend getting rx 6700xt, and 12/13400f, with 16GB of DDR5 ram to then later upgrade, or 32 if you have the budget for that, and around a 650W psu, make sure its modular so the pc looks good, and at least 80+ gold. Get a b7/660 motherboard, doesn't have to be expensive, but also don't get the cheapest one. Make sure that everything is compatible, you can use pcpartpicker for that, and make sure to get a thermalright contact frame, so that the cpu won't bend, and will have lower temps. for 100€ you won't get a good enough monitor for this setup, i recommend getting at least a 144hz one, and 1080p or 1440p, and make sure it's an ips panel, because VA has way too much ghosting imo
