Mix Resolution Surround

Evac

Hi, I am hoping someone has a workaround for Nvidia Surround only accepting the same resolution. I currently have 3 monitors, with the two side monitors being 16:9 2560*1440 and the centre monitor being an ultra-wide 21:9 3440*1440.  Nvidia Surround won't allow me to make it into a single display without horribly stretching the centre ultrawide into a horrible blurry mess despite all of them being 1440p. I am aware that AMD Eyefinity can do it but that is hardware-based and I got a 3070 so that won't work with me.

I'm actually looking for good solution too incase I would need to abandon AMD GPU for whatever reason (such as rumours suggest RDNA4 won't have high end). My closest solution was to force resolution via editing game's config file or Windows registry, then use Borderless to get rid of borders. But even then I won't get gsync support and it doesn't always work for every game. Pretty much rather use AMD GPU at this point.

Oh yeah, i am waiting for the 5090 to have the horsepower to run triple screen however what is the point of having the performance but cant do it. The fact that Nivida support just simply tells you that you cant do it because it impossible as gpu need to render different resolutions, yet amd seem to do it just fine

I am also running a 3-monitor mixed resolution setup. I have an RDNA2 card (AMD Radeon PRO W6600) that will run Eyefinity at 8560x1440 without issue. I tried Eyefinity with a Sapphire RX 7800 XT and an AMD Radeon PRO W7600 (both RDNA3), both failed to achieve 8560x1440. Instead, both RDNA3 cards ran Eyefinity at 7680x1440 on my setup. RDNA3 was sending a 2560x1440 image to the 3440x1440 display, distorting the combined Eyefinity image. I'm really disappointed with these results. I can only hope RDNA4 (or an RDNA3 BIOS or driver update) will overcome this defect, but will take an effort from AMD to get it right.
