Gpu cable bend

Go to solution Solved by Dukesilver27-,

No one can say for certain, because the degree of the bend and how long it happens is too hard to estimate when or if there will be issues.

Now, resolution does not directly affect power draw, GPU usage and clock speed does. However, you always just change the power limit on the GPU with MSI Afterburner, it's easy to do, plenty of guides in youtube. Lower it as much as you could.

I'd just run the PC without side panel and pull the cable a bit so the bend would not be too much.

You guys think this is fine?

Is it a 12VHPWR cable? Then no. If it's a normal 6+2 pin or 8 pin I say yes just make sure it's plugged in all the way

Looks like 16 pin 12VHPWR, I wouldn't let it be like that, a lot of those things melt already, some testers said it was caused by the bend near the connector, and yours are very very bent.

Either get a bigger case, or vertical GPU mount, or get one of those cable mod 12VHPWR cables.

I heard cablemod should be avoided....

Well, there were some cases where their cables have the issue as Nvidia's, but as I heard, they are less common than Nvidia's.

So at least there's that, correct me if I'm wrong tho.

Ok but meanwhile, are my chances of anything bad happening lower if i run everything in 1080? I would assume that power draw isn't that  big no? I don't have 4 k screen atm.
